I must say that although I knew it was January and the nice weather would come to an end, I wasn't quite ready for it. I've been very spoiled by running in 50 degree (or warmer) weather with the sun shinning down. It's been such a joy. But now winter has rushed back in full force, at least for the next few days, and I'm being a complete wuss about it. I know that even today, we don't have it quite as bad as my friends in Michigan (although their high today is supposed to be 19 - our 13). Because of the minimal snow fall and the knowledge that it will get warmer and what snow we currently have will melt off in the next few days.
In my efforts to stay warm I have decided to set running aside for the next few days and work on my pilates routine until it gets warmer outside. It's also a great time to focus on getting that to do list finished, I am still gloriously distracted from it by any number of things at any moment. But it must get accomplished!
I've finished a couple of knitting projects in recent days and have all sorts of ideas and plans for other projects! I'll post pictures of what I've accomplished as soon as I figure out where on earth my camera ended up. Cleaning and reorganizing isn't always kind to current goings-on.
Greg should be home in a few days for leave. There are not words to explain what I am feeling. I don't even know if I really know what I'm feeling. All I know is that these next few days are going to feel like they are lasting forever if I don't find ways to keep myself busy! And in the usual military motto of "hurry up and wait", Greg cautioned me that there have been delays in getting people on leave so I shouldn't expect him to be home right on time. With the excitement and anxiousness I'm feeling - how long the days seem to last already! - I can only imagine how long any days delayed will feel! I must admit that I'm nervous about Greg being delayed too long and throwing off my responsibilities for Sunday Mornings. Ha, even if he is in and settled before Sunday doesn't mean I'll remember any of the things that I have to do for Sunday mornings anyway! How easily patterns can get thrown off and I'm sure my patterns are going to be wholly destroyed for the time that Greg's in! Oh goodness, speaking of all of this I really need to get my song list done for this week and figure out at least a guide or fallback plan for the weeks while Greg is home. Better get moving on that before I get distracted by something and forget!
Oh - PS - the sock looked terrible and got ripped out - to be started again soon.
